The oils can be used to produce biodiesel or can be used as straight vegetable oil (SVO), and help the countries reduce their dependancy on ever increasing fossil fuel imports.

Green Power´s vision is to put these factors into productive use by producing oil for biofuels and thereby creating vast amounts of jobs for the rural population, start a self-enforcing development in areas that are currently under-developped, reduce a typically high trade deficit of the countries by reducing fossil-fuel imports and creating export possibilities and improve the environmental conditions in East Africa. By doing this it creates positive development impacts in the respective countries and helps the world to cope with the environmental and economical implications of an ever decreasing fossil oil base.
